Festive Fig Brie Bake

IMG_3700I love the fall and figs a lot! Like so many of us, the fall is something I secretly hope for in the heat of summer; the cool nights cuddling under a blanket, hot drinks and comfort food, I have a huge soft spot for comfort food. I also love festive holiday food, there’s something so beautiful about the dishes we reserve for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years that seem like a celebration in themselves.

Quick confession, I’ve not yet made a turkey and our current oven is a bit small to fit a family sized one, but I am starting to create my own list of celebratory classics that are often requested for special occasions, check out these cookies and this torte for a few. This Brie Bake is another one of them. It’s simple, sweet, perfect for sharing and kind of a celebration on the plate! If you’re looking for a simple appetizer, or a twist on traditional dessert this holiday season this is the perfect plate for you.

Brie & Sauce

  1. Take the brie out of the oven and pour your sauce over the warm cheese.
  2. Serve as a shared plate with crackers or bread.IMG_3694
