About

Hello and welcome to Josephine!

Josephine is a lifestyle blog that explores simple & creative living.  The inspiration for this blog developed out of the creativity that comes from becoming a new parent, Josephine March of Louisa May Alcott’s famous novel, Little Women, a favourite literary heroine and my own desire to write.

Josephine, or Jo March, is a creative, caring, ambitious, thoughtful, unconventional, imaginative and loving woman who finds creativity in every corner of her life and shares these creative ideas with her sisters. As a reflection of her character, this blog is a place to share ideas for creative and simple living. Exploring topics like: baby life (parenting/family), motherhood, baking/cooking, interior decorating, city life, travel and personal stories (features). This blog aims to be a space for creative inspiration where ideas and stories can be shared.

Some of the major projects of this blog are to share the inspirational stories of creative career mothers and work with communities to support mothers and their little ones through advice, connections and storytelling. In the Features section, a series called Josephine’s Creative Career Mothers will highlight the stories of ambitious mothers who found their way amongst diapers and daydreams to create the life they imagined!  In addition to these posts, a new feature project called Josephine’s Blooming Boutiques will focus on celebrating and supporting up and coming small shops that I love and want to share with all of you.

  1. Hi Josephine
Love you style and your authentic voice and honest approach to sharing life!!

We are Pamela & Lynda — business partners, designers & creators, who are following our passion and are the excited new owners of Sweet Kyla — with a vision to revamp & revitalize a trusted brand with Moms!!

We’re Canadian designed and lovingly made baby crib bedding and nursery décor. To us this means more than local – it means you can trust the fact that your baby is sleeping on superior quality bedding made from the finest textiles that have been constructed to ensure a safe and cozy haven for your baby with exceptional details and unique design.

We’re passionate about helping you create the nursery of your dreams – we believe it should be a joyful journey starting with our free fabric swatches so that you can start creating the nursery of your dreams. It can be as simple as choosing one of our full baby bedding collections or as personalized as you designing your own individual look with our endless mix & match options

We believe that when it comes to crib linens for your baby, they should be good for your little one with quality fabrics and attention to details that create a safe and cozy place to sleep. Each is individually made to exacting standards of quality, safety and longevity. Babies spend approximately one third of their day sleeping – baby linens are one of the most important purchases a Mom can make. This is why for over 40 years Moms have chosen Sweet Kyla.

We’re proudly Canadian, passionately powered by Moms and lovingly create the best for your baby!! We’re grateful that Moms choose to wrap their little ones in safe fabrics that are ethically made with a modern design for today’s Mom!!

We’d love to be part of one of your features or discuss and collaboration opportunities!!

    Sweet thanks — Lynda
