How Sweet It Is : Our Daughter’s Nursery Reveal

fullsizeoutput_23ceHappy five months sweet girl!

It’s only taken us this long to finally finish your room, literally just in time for you to start napping and very soon sleeping in here.

It’s funny how we get those inklings that something is going to happen in our lives. When we first moved to our new home I was very sure that the boys would still share a room like they did in our old two-bedroom house even though it was a three-bedroom and they could each have their own. I insisted that they still share and that the third bedroom remain a playroom “just in case.”

fullsizeoutput_23d0At this time, we hadn’t even really thought of having another baby, but I think I always knew she would be here.

fullsizeoutput_23c9The design of all of the bedrooms in our home is centred around being light, bright and airy and I decided to go outside of my grey and white comfort zone and add some pink and neutral details to this space. The pops of pink bring so much life and lightness to the room.

The Details

fullsizeoutput_23caThe Bunny Print

This was a beautiful gift from Gooseberry Prints and it became the colour inspiration for the room.

The Rocking Chair

An antique find I painted white that suits the space perfectly.

The How Sweet it is Pillow Case

This pillow case from Swell Made CO.  has made it’s way to many rooms in our home, but I think it’s finally found it’s place in our sweet baby girl’s room.

The Pink Lamp

This was an I’m not looking for it but found it and it’s perfect Winners find.

The Mini Pink Painting

This was made by her older brother and I am so happy to have this little piece of love in the room.

Baby Blankets

Handmade items are what add so much love and personal touches to a space and we are so grateful to have grandmas and nonnas  who’ve added their loving touches to the kid’s rooms with beautiful handmade blankets.
